Ep. 5: Gen X Finances Unplugged: Values-Driven, Practical Wealth Strategies with Will Hoffman

Money does one thing and one thing only . . . it gives us options. That's it. The more money you have, the more options you have.

A financial advisor with heart who’s focused on values? Does such a unicorn exist? Yes it does. And it’s name is Will Hoffman.

This week Michele sits down with fellow Gen X’er, marathoner, and independent financial advisor, Will Hoffman.

Will is a Financial Advisor, an AIF® designee, and Founder and President of Hoffman Wealth Management. As a financial advisor for 20 years, Will develops customized and comprehensive financial planning solutions for his clients, while building strong relationships with them so that he fully understands their goals and objectives.

Will educates his clients and helps them to pursue their financial goals by management of taxable and retirement investments, provides detailed retirement planning services, and helps to ensure proper insurance and estate planning strategies are in place. He does this all while considering the Hoffman Wealth Management mission: To provide INDEPENDENT Wealth Strategies revolving around our clients’ needs and becoming their most trusted financial ally.

Will graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg with a degree in Business Management. He resides in Harrison City with his wife Jamie and their sons, Liam, Miles, and Nolan. He is also an avid golfer and runner who has completed the Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York City and Boston Marathons.

Grab a pen and paper for this episode, because you’ll want to take some notes. Will and Michele talk about a spectrum of Gen X financial situations. From those who haven’t saved for retirement at all, to those who want to maximize their retirement savings. And for those who struggle with budgets (like your host!), Will offers an empowering perspective on how to look at your budget through the lens of what’s important to you—your values.

Will and Michele also throw out some awesome Gen X references and documentary recommendations at the end (links below). So make sure to listen all the way through. Plus, don’t forget to grab your three free resources that Will is providing to our guests (see below).
