Ep. 15:  Embracing Self-Worth:  Practical Insights to Create Your Fullest Life

You deserve to be alive, to be loved and cared for, and to take up space just because you're human.

Of all the transitions that Gen X’ers are facing at this stage of life–from dating to finding our purpose–do you know what they all have in common?

They all often have a missing link that looms like a shadow over our ability to find the confidence, courage, and clarity we need to make important shifts.

And more often than not, that missing link is our unconditional self-worth:  the belief that you deserve to be alive, to be loved and cared for, and to take up space just because you're human.

This week’s guest, Dr. Adia Gooden, is an expert when it comes to embracing our unconditional self-worth. She is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her BA in Psychology from Stanford University and her PhD in Clinical Community Psychology from DePaul University.  Dr. Adia served as a Staff Psychologist and the Coordinator for Multicultural Outreach and Support for the Student Counseling Service at The University of Chicago and the Director of the Clinic and Community Programs at The Family Institute at Northwestern before starting her own business.

She is a sought-after, dynamic speaker who gives talks and workshops on unconditional self-worth, self-compassion, imposter syndrome, and Black women’s mental health. Dr. Adia co-authored the book, Promoting Black Women’s Mental Health, published by Cambridge University Press. Dr. Adia gave a TEDx talk called “Cultivating Unconditional Self-Worth” which has over 1.5 million views.

She hosts the Unconditionally Worthy podcast and coaches high achieving professional women to embrace their unconditional self-worth.
