Ep. 37:  The Gen X Shift Turns 1: A Top 8 Countdown to Inspire Small Changes (Part 1)

“April 2nd marks the 1-year anniversary of The Gen X Shift . . . . I did something unknown because it just felt like what I was supposed to do.  Do you have something like that?”

—Michele L. Walter

We’re about to party like it’s 1999!

On April 2, 2024, I launched this little podcast that could - The Gen X Shift - and I can’t believe that I’m celebrating the 1-year anniversary!

After 36 episodes . . .

21 guests . . .

and 15 solo episodes . . .

I’m celebrating the fact that I did something that was completely unknown to me, all because I had a hole in my soul that was telling me to just freakin’ do it!

🎉 And I want to invite you along for the celebration.

All this month, I’m celebrating the podcast turning 1-year-old by launching a 4-part series that counts down (Casey Kasem style), the top 8 topics that I’ve covered with my guests over the last year.

This series will hit the highlights and biggest insights from my guests over this last year that will help you make important shifts in your life.

And we’re starting this week with:

⭐️ No. 8:  Health - Let’s Get Physical.  Listen to guest highlights from:

→  Monique Jones

→  Dr. Leona Allen

→  Matt Comneck

→  Suzanne Greiner

⭐️ No. 7:  Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Career Shifts - The Eye of the Tiger. Listen to guest highlights from:

→  Josh Thurmond

→  Jen Porter

→  Ben Grimes

→  Eric Nehrlich

Here’s how you can help celebrate:

👉🏻 Listen to the highlight episodes each week.

👉🏻 Go back and listen to full episodes to catch up.

👉🏻 Make sure to grab the guest freebies and discounts from the guest episodes!

👉🏻 Sign The Gen X Shift birthday card:  Leave a comment where you listen, send me a comment at podcast@lifefromthesummit.com, and share your biggest insight from an episode.  I’ll take all of these comments and put them on a huge birthday card at the end of the month that I’ll post on social media and share through email.

👉🏻 Send or post a picture of you listening to the podcast (make sure to tag The Gen X Shift and use #thegenxshift).

So, grab your party hat and settle in for this Part 1 of this look back at The Gen X Shift’s first year!

And to all of you who’ve listened, left reviews and ratings, sent me feedback, and shared the episodes, I’m deeply grateful to you for your support.  I do this because I freakin’ love it and because I want to provide a seed of inspiration to Gen X’ers who want to make any shift - big or small - in their lives.  And I didn’t let fear or perfectionism or now knowing “how” get in the way!  I did it because it was burning a hole in my soul . . . and I invite you to find what’s burning a hole in your soul.

Oh . . . and I mention in the episode that I’m wearing a vintage Ocean Pacific sweater that was my mom’s. Here’s the photo of her wearing this same sweater in 1983! That’s my brother in the stroller outside our trailer court in Nebraska. The sweater has held up really well!
